L'artifictionalité du temps - un essai
Having scanned all the pictures taken in France, I am stunned by how horrible they are. They are just disastrous.
I'm still thinking how these regrettable images can be put together and presented (if at all). For now I've put together just five of them, minimally decent (with some photoshop tampering). This is an experimental trial: hence the title, "un essai."
"Artifictionalité" is my neologism combining "artificiality" and "fictionality." "Temps" in French can either mean "time" or "weather." Despite (or because of, perhaps) the low quality of the images, I like this title very much; it is (as always) too deep to be explained.
My photographic incompetence issues probably from my ignorance: not only did I lack skill, effort and talent; I didn't know (j'ignorais) why and for whom I was taking all these pictures.
Even a photographic image must be addressed. Like an utterance.
