Viewing PDF and Word documents in your browser

A great majority of papers, articles, CVs and other documents available online is in PDF (or worse, in Word document), and sometimes it gets cumbersome to download and open them in Preview or Acrobat, only to discover that they weren't what you were looking for.

For someone who runs a Mac and has this problem, the two plugins by Schubert|it will come in quite handy. They are simple and sleek-designed plugins that enable you to view PDF and Word file right in your browser (Safari, Firefox... they don't run on IE, but who cares?).

Since most of the documents philosophers upload on their web site are in either one of these formats, I find them very useful. They run rather fast and are easy to use.

Apparently "Schubert" is the guy's name. I think that's cool. Obviously he's German. He has a nice chess software, too, if you are into that.
